It has been owned by 2 of the top Corvette collectors in the US. This Tuxedo Black Corvette has a black interior, a numbers matching 327/360hp fuel injected engine, 4 speed transmission, positraction axle, 24 gallon fuel tank, big brake package, radio delete and auxiliary hardtop. While only 246 Corvettes left the St. Louis plant 1962 with the "Big Brake" option there were only 65 built with the 24 gallon fuel tank. Since receiving a total Nabors restoration it has received a NCRS Top Flight, a Bloomington Gold Certificate, and was included in the Bloomington Gold "Special Collection" in 1996. less

Millennium Yellow w/custom Yellow & Tan leather interior, 350ci Ram Jet fuel injected motor, 5-spd transmission. This ’60 was purchased from the original owner in ’81 and shortly after a 4-year, frame on restoration was started and completed in ’85. The car was then put in storage from ’85-’02. In ’03 a complete frame off restoration/customization was begun. A custom chassis, suspension and drivetrain built by Street Shop in Athens, GA. replaced the stock frame and driveline. The body was then removed from the frame and taken to paint which was completed over a 6-month period. The painted body was then delivered to Corvette Mike for completion. At that point, a total custom interior was hand crafted and the final assembly process was completed. The finished product is not only beautiful to look at, but also a blast to drive! This Corvette started its life as a 390 HP Daytona Yellow Coupe w/Black int and 4spd. The car was purchased from the Mohenk, NY. Chevrolet Dealership (Zone 79-Dealer #001 in 1968-Visible on Build sheet.) 10 miles from Baldwin Chevrolet and Baldwin Motion. According to the original owner, the car was taken to Baldwin Motion for modifications with only a few miles on it. (in the photo of the engine compartment taken from the driver’s side, you can see where the round Baldwin Motion sticker used to be). The car has had the GM L-88 fenders and black stripe paint design since 1969. The faded picture shown is this car in 1970. After completely disassembling the car the frame was fully welded and gusseted per the official GM Performance Manual supplied to factory race teams in 1969. Frame is also Powder Coated. The accident free body received a proper restoration and paint (original Daytona Yellow) while on a frame dolly. The car had a complete FRAME OFF restoration before heading to Corvette specialist Dick Guldstrand Engineering for ZL-1 engine and suspension. Dick Guldstrand’s Shop installed: GM ZL-1 Limited Edition, All Aluminum, Fuel Injected Engine, Suspension, Power Brakes, Power rack & pinion steering, Performance Hydraulic Pump, Flywheel, Clutch, Pressure Plate, 3:55 Posi. Clutches, Stainless Steel Thermally Coated Headers, 4 Point Rollbar, (welded to the frame),200 MPH Speedometer,1000 miles ago. Approximately $50,000 was spent at Dick Guldstrand’s Shop for the engine installation, suspension and drivetrain. Engine: GM ZL-1 Engine. Limited production ZL-1 500hp engine of which GM produced only 200. This engine is number 194. Body: • Color: Original Daytona Yellow • Condition: Excellent Interior is 90% original. Dash top is original and perfect. Drivers door panel is original and has a couple of holes in it. Easy replaced or repaired. Aluminum door sills are original and show wear . Carpet has been replaced. Seats have been re-done. Two of the rear package shelf doors were taken off the car and never replaced. The battery compartment door is there and looks good. Except for the seats and carpet, the interior is original. Typical interior wear for a 35 year old car that has been kept inside and VERY well cared for its entire life. New glass with the exception of the rear pop out window (it has scratches). The car came with sport mirrors from Motion. Passenger side was misplaced during restoration, but it is an easy part to find and add if you would like. * EXTRA PARTS- in storage I have a "complete" suspension: trailing arms, upper and lower a-arms, calipers, rotors, spindles, etc. Bunch of misc brackets associated with suspension. (When the car was re-done, all new parts were used). These parts are NOT Rusty. Just surface rust. The 4.11 posi diff. and housing that had been in the car are also available as well as a weird 3 barrel Holley Carb and Edelbrock 427x intake that was on the car. The carb is a 1050 CFM from 1969. When purchased in the 80’s it had a 454 (not the original engine) and a big box of misc. parts. The car runs at 190 degrees in traffic and leaks no fluids on the garage floor. It looks great with or without the Guldstrand "Static Cling" decals installed for a Car Show a while back. Stk #N/A less
